Gain a working knowledge of and be able to describe methods, approaches, and tools for efficiently researching and understanding federal accounting standards; learn how to use accounting standards and research as a basis to help improve financial reporting and resolve outstanding or emerging accounting issues at their agencies; and by working in teams on case studies, identify key considerations and challenges that are often encountered in public sector accounting and auditing.
