Description

Hear challenges, war stories and successes from the use of agile project management for financial systems and initiatives. Managers of financial systems projects explore the paradox of agile project management succeeding in the risk-sensitive, structured culture of financial systems development.

  • Learn basic concepts of Agile project management and system development, and the challenges of implementing in a financial management environment. Participants will hear real-life stories of challenges and benefits in implementing commercial solutions, new system development, and statutorily-mandated transparency initiatives. Examples include U.S. Department of Justice data governance, and U.S. Department of the Treasury's G-Invoicing, DATA Act Broker, USASpending.gov, and other projects.
