Since 2003 GAO has listed Medicaid as a high-risk program. In 2018, Medicaid reported $36 billion in improper payments. Hear from a panel of federal and state auditors on risks and control issues and their recommendations to improve program integrity.

  2. In 2018, Medicaid covered an estimated 75 million low-income and medically needy individuals at a cost of $629 billion, of which $393 billion was financed by the federal government. 
  3. Learn why the Medicaid program is high-risk and the changes needed to ensure taxpayer dollars are properly spent.
