Federal financial statements should be useful to stakeholders - both quantitatively and qualitatively. This panel will discuss the current financial reporting framework, its strengths and weaknesses, and its effectiveness in communicating financial information to stakeholders.

Learning Objectives:
  • Learn how FASAB aligned objectives in a financial reporting framework and how the Office of Management and Budget aligned FASAB standards in financial reporting requirements.
  • Explore strengths of the current financial reporting framework and concepts for improvement, especially in communicating financial information, to enhance the usefulness of federal financial reports to their primary users.
