Description

Led by a represententative of the Treasury Department, this panel will explore potential benefits of collecting specific accounting and auditing data elements in a central secure database, and then sharing this data with state and federal agencies for use in payment validation.

Learning Objectives:
  • Learn about existing information-sharing opportunities sponsored by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
  • Hear the results of pilots on information-sharing with states.
  • Discuss other common, necessary data on federal program beneficiaries that might be collected centrally and then shared safely with program administrators.
  • Determine the effects on programmatic auditing that can result from Treasury program use.
