Jay is a managing director at Grant Thornton LLP. He provides thought leadership in areas such as public sector financial management, Federal credit management, and customer experience. Formerly the chief financial officer of Federal Student Aid (FSA), Jay oversaw the distribution of more than $120 billion in aid annually and the financial health of the federal government’s $1.4 trillion student loan portfolio. He also served as the acting chief customer experience officer of FSA. Jay has a BS in business administration from the University of Richmond and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
