Daniel Cain is the Acting Director at the Treasury Department responsible for leading a team of over 30 federal and contractor staff to execute the requirements of Digital Accountability and Transparency Act of 2014 (DATA Act). Provides leadership, direction, and supervision to a data innovation and transparency program that uses Agile, open source, and user-centered design principles. Direct and lead all aspects of strategic planning, budget, contracting, and risk management. Oversee development of data transparency products used government-wide, including USAspending.gov and datalab.usaspending.gov, as well as government-wide financial data standards and analytical tools.
