Sherri Voigt CGFM, CPA
Lead Senior Accountant, UW System Administration
Sherri Voigt is the Lead Senior Accountant with the University of WI System Administration, supervising a team working with accounts payable, general ledger entries, grants, bank reconciliations, and expense audits. Prior to that, Sherri worked for 5 years as the Fiscal Services Section Chief for the WI Department of Transportation and at the WI Department of Natural Resources for 18 years. Her positions ranged in specialty areas including: aids grant accounting, balance sheet accounting, management accounting, GAAP and rates accounting. She earned her Certified Government Financial Manager certification in 2005, passing all 3 exams in a single day at the PDC.
An AGA member since 1995, she joined the local chapter board in 1998. She has served as chapter president for the Southern WI AGA chapter several times, as Regional Vice President for the North Central Region twice, as a Regional Coordinator, and as an AGA National Awards Committee member. Sherri has been a member of the Professional Certification Board since 2014 and currently serves as Chair.
Sherri graduated with a Master's degree in Business Administration-Technology and Training from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Edgewood College.
