Gerard Badorrek is the Chief Financial Officer of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and serves as GSA’s Performance Improvement Officer. He spent 25 years in the private sector including roles as a CFO and COO. Mr. Badorrek transitioned to the federal government joining GSA in January 2015.

In his three years at GSA, Mr. Badorrek completed a comprehensive transformation of GSA's financial organization. This included centralizing four budget organizations into a single Budget Office; creating a Performance Management and Analytics office; and streamlining Regional Financial Operations by consolidating 11 regions into 4 zones. His leadership has resulted in streamlined financial processes, improved performance and greater financial controls. This was achieved while reducing staffing levels by 24% , increasing employee engagement by 12 percentage points and employee satisfaction by 16 percentage points. Mr. Badorrek is driving the implementation of several RPA and workload reduction initiatives.

He has an MBA degree from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, a Master’s degree in Economics from Case Western Reserve University and Bachelor degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University.
