Johana Ayers

Johana Ayers is the Managing Director of GAO’s Forensic Audits and Investigative Service (FAIS) team. In this position, she leads and oversees GAO’s efforts to provide Congress with high-quality forensic audits and investigations of fraud, waste, and abuse; other special investigations; and security and vulnerability assessments. Prior to being named Managing Director by the Comptroller General, Ms. Ayers served as a Director in GAO’s Defense Capabilities and Management team. In that position, she helped establish and led the Defense Business Operations portfolio, which encompasses reviews related to management efficiencies, business transformation, and budgets at DOD.
