Barbara Crawford

Ms. Barbara Crawford is the Director of Accounting Operations and Compliance for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). In this capacity, she is responsible for all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and financial audit oversight/support, as well as for the development and implementation of all accounting policies for DISA.

Ms. Crawford began her career as an auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency upon graduation from college. Transferring to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) in 1995, she served in various positions, supporting a variety of Defense Agencies over a 10 year period. She transferred to DISA in 2005 to lead audit remediation efforts and progressed into her current position.

Ms. Crawford received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (concentration in Accounting) degree from Siena College in 1989. She earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Boston University in 1994. She holds a Level III Department of Defense Financial Management certification.
