Mr. Otal is responsible for all aspects of Grant Thornton’s strategy, market development, service delivery and financial performance in serving government and government-sponsored entities.

With over 30 years of experience spanning the full range of advisory and assurance services — from internal and financial statement auditing to organizational transformation and process improvement to the assessment and implementation of enterprise systems, including program management, strategy, acquisition and business model development for clients installing enterprise solutions, implementing custom solutions, package software and cloud-based solutions, or migrating to a shared service provider. 

Since joining Grant Thornton in 2005, led myriad financial innovation and transformation engagements for a wide variety of clients, including but not limited to the U.S. Departments of the Treasury, Energy and Defense, as well as the U.S. Social Security Administration, U.S. Office of Personnel Management and the State of California.
