Misty Giles

Misty Ann Giles serves as Chief of Staff of USDA Rural Development. Misty has been with USDA since 2017 where she served as a Senior Advisor to the Secretary within the Office of Congressional Relations, as Deputy Chief of Staff for Rural Development, and most recently as Rural Development’s Acting Chief of Staff. With more than 10 years of public policy experience, Misty served in leadership roles for both then Governor Sonny Perdue and also former Governor Deal of Georgia prior to joining USDA. She holds a Masters of Arts degree from Georgia Southern University and received her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
