Michael is the Chief of Administration and in this capacity serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the Idaho Department of Fish & Game since March of 2012. In this role he oversees the finance, accounting, purchasing, licensing operations, fleet operations, and internal controls of this $110+ million dedicated fund agency. Prior to joining Fish & Game, Michael was with the Department of Health & Welfare as the Financial Manager over its accounting systems and operations, and also spent 5 years with Albertsons in financial reporting and strategic planning.
Michael has his BA from the College of Idaho and is a Certified Public Accountant since 2001. He is a member of the Association of Governmental Accountants and received his Certified Government Financial Manager designation in 2015, and also served as president of the local chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants in 2006.
