Jessica Stewart

National Security Analysis Mission Area Executive, Johns Hopkins University

Ms. Jessica Stewart is the National Security Analysis Mission Area Executive for Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. In this role, she oversees innovative cross-cutting analyses, research, and integrated technology development that impact the broader national security enterprise, increase the effectiveness of national security operations and missions, and enable informed senior leadership decision-making. As the nation’s largest University Affiliated Research Center, APL serves as a trusted agent for the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and other federal agencies. Prior to joining the Laboratory in 2016, Ms. Stewart was a research analyst and project director for the Center for Naval Analyses and served as an embedded field representative to Commander, US Sixth Fleet, Commander, US Fifth Fleet, and Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force. Ms. Stewart holds a Juris Doctor of Law and a Master of Arts in National Security Studies from Georgetown University, and a BA in International Affairs from the George Washington University.
