Ms. Margaret Weichert
Former Deputy Director for Management of the OMB, Accenture
Margaret has 25+ years of payments experience and currently leads Accenture’s North American Payment practice and previously served as Deputy Director for Management at the Office of Management and Budget.
Over her career, Margaret has led Payments businesses for large banks, processors and consulting firms, where her expertise in corporate strategy, payments product integration and omni-channel experience have helped create differentiated and game-changing payment solutions, including mobile payment solutions, payment gateways, payment risk management tools and new business models.
Her innovative work in the payment industry led her to be named as an inventor on 14 successful payment patents, currently owned by Bank of America, Western Union and Fiserv.
She holds a B.S. of Foreign Service (Magna Cum Laude) from Georgetown University, a post-graduate diploma in Economics with distinction from the University of Sussex (UK) and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. Ms. Weichert also is certified as a Green Belt in Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma.
