Jaime Vargas

Jaime is a Senior Advisor for Cybersecurity Infrastructure at the Securities and Exchange Commission. He joined the SEC after servings as the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) for the Federal Trade Commission. Prior to the FTC, Jaime served as the CISO for the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Inspector General. Jaime is passionate about technology and innovation. He is a practitioner with expertise in systems development, telecommunications, datacenter operations, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analysis, risk management, and governance. His contributions supported successful IT modernization efforts at both FTC and DHS. Prior to joining the government, Jaime was a successful entrepreneur and held executive positions a various tech companies.
