Steve Varnum

Steve Varnum is the Director of PBS Financial Services at the General Services Administration and has held that position since 2016. He is an organizational thought leader, managing a large geographically dispersed financial organization. He is responsible for the financial operations of the Public Buildings Service in the eleven Regional office locations. His federal career began at GSA in 2003, shortly after graduating from Syracuse University and has been with the agency since. Steve held multiple financial analyst positions, primarily focusing on the PBS financial operations. After becoming Director of PBS Financial Services in 2016, he implemented a successful process standardization initiative that increased the efficiency of the financial operation and improved the performance of the organization to help make PBS successful.
