Senior Leader in the Federal Government

Kimberly S. Jackson has served in many positions during her tenure with the Federal Government. Prior to her current position, she served as Branch Chief of the GAO-OIG Audit Liaison Branch for the USDA Forest Service. In this role, she was responsible for coordinating and collaborating with Forest Service program areas across the agency, GAO and USDA – OIG organizations on a wide range of financial statement audits and performance/program reviews. She also served as a Senior Accountant of Financial Policy at the Department of State. Prior to this, she served as the Branch Chief of the Financial Accounting Operations Branch for the USDA – Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). She is currently serving as the Finance Director with the National Labor Relations Board where is responsible for all Financial Operations and Reporting activities, including the agency’s Travel Program. Kimberly has more than 27 years of experience in financial reporting (including internal controls (OMB Circular A-123), financial statements, cash management and general ledger reconciliation that include posting model and transaction maintenance), managing internal controls, managing internal and external financial reporting, and financial operations and financial policy.

As a result of Kimberly’s varied experiences, she gained understanding of A-123 Internal Controls, Retirement Fund management, FOIA, reimbursable/interagency agreements and grant management. She also had the opportunity to serve as a fellow with both the Excellence in Government and African American Federal Executive Association (AAFEA) programs. These experiences exposed her to corporate leadership at Starbucks and Microsoft Headquarters.

Kimberly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Hampton University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland University College.
