Stephen Brockelman
Director of Performance and Analytics, GSA
Steve Brockelman is the Director of Performance and Analytics in GSA’s Office of the CFO. He oversees GSA’s organizational performance management and is responsible for developing the agency’s annual performance plan and five-year GSA Strategic Plan. He also leads teams that deliver financial reporting and data analysis to advance GSA’s goal of becoming a data-driven organization, improving decision quality and achieving better outcomes.
In prior roles at GSA, Steve led strategy and operations for the Office of Executive Councils, providing performance benchmarking and best practices to mission-support functions across Federal government. He also served as Executive Director of the President’s Management Advisory Board, a group of CEOs appointed by the President to provide recommendations on improving Federal government performance and productivity.
Before serving in Federal government, Steve was a senior manager with the Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner) for more than ten years. In this role, he developed leading practices and insights to help executives at Global 2000 companies address critical strategy and management challenges. He has also consulted for Federal agencies and led analyses on numerous public policy issues, including economic development and government performance.
