Matt has 15 years of federal government and private sector experience in budgeting and financial management. As Director of the CFSAN Division of Budget and Planning, he oversees the center’s resource planning and allocation processes and leads the formulation, development, execution and monitoring of its budget authority and user fees. Prior to joining FDA, Matt held the role of Deputy Assistant Budget Director at the Department of Homeland Security where he also served as a liaison to the House and Senate Committees on Appropriations. Matt led the implementation of the first ‘child’ system of FDA’s Integrated Budget and Acquisition Planning Systems (IBAPS) at CFSAN. He has a degree in Economics and Religious Studies from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and a Master of Public Management from the University of Maryland, College Park School of Public Policy.
