Denise Wu CGFM, CPA

A Founding Partner of HPBS LLC, Denise has more than 25 years of auditing and consulting experience for public sector clients with operating resources ranging from $100 million to over $180 billion. Before founding HPBS, Denise spent more than 20 years at Clifton Larson Allen, most recently serving as Principal-in-Charge. In that role, she served as the advisory and assurance principal/partner for the firm’s largest accounts and was responsible for managing and growing the firm’s federal government services. Her prior experience also includes time at Urbach, Kahn & Werlin PC performing audits and preparing tax returns for privately owned companies and nonprofit organizations. She has published numerous thought leadership articles, served on several AGA chapter and regional boards, and national committees. Denise has decades of experience serving on the boards of several nonprofit organizations, and received a multitude of awards and accolades for her service. Her specialities include accounting and financial advisory services, grants management, internal controls, program performance and compliance, business process improvement, and financial reporting.
