Adina Kriss is the Management Analyst for the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) Program within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Integrated Veterans Care, Internal Review & Oversight. As the FWA Management Analyst, Adina oversees a program that includes foreign and domestic healthcare for Veterans; implementing internal controls, education, mitigation strategies and overall program integrity. Adina began her career serving Veterans in May of 2015, as a U.S. Army Veteran herself, it was important that she continue to support and give back to her fellow Veterans. She started as a healthcare claims processor for CHAMPVA, and quickly identified a need to address waste and with help of her leadership, created a new program within CHAMPVA to combat waste that is still being utilized today. With formal education in Medical Laboratory, Criminal Justice, and Forensics Adina has applied her skills in data analysis, auditing, case investigations, case coordination with law enforcement, FWA education and program development. Adina’s mission is to continue to influence VHA’s strategy on addressing and combating fraud, waste, and abuse.
