Amanda Stapleton, is the Compliance Director for the North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR), a Division of the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. As the Compliance Director, Amanda leads a team of Compliance Specialists to ensure federal disaster recovery and pandemic recovery funds are used within the parameters of state, federal and local laws and regulations, which includes serving as the fraud, waste and abuse triage team liaison. With a passion for public service and her community, Amanda began her career in 2010 when she served as a CDBG administrator for the City of Syracuse. This passion grew and evolved overtime leading her to earn a Master of Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University and, achieve the Walter Mode Scholar Award in 2013. Over the last 11 years Amanda has worked with multiple HUD grantees in both Massachusetts and North Carolina and continues to pursue her passion of serving those in need through volunteering and serving on nonprofit boards. In 2017 Amanda and her family decided to call North Carolina home and couldn’t be happier. Her husband still roots for Syracuse but no one misses the snow.
