Mr. Ammar Rizki

Ammar M. Rizki has served as Chief Financial Officer of Cook County since June 2017and oversees the financial operations of the County that include a $6.9 billion annualbudget, $3.5 billion debt portfolio and over $500 million in daily cash flow from operations. Prior to that, Mr. Rizki served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer starting in August 2013, where he led a number of management initiatives across the Bureau of Finance, including developing the County’s 10 year Capital Plan and the implementation of the County’s ERP system. Mr. Rizki has over 20 years of diverse experience in various leadership roles in public finance, investment management and banking. He holds a B.Sc. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an M.B.A from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
