Ana Chaletzky is a native of San José, Costa Rica. She graduated summa cum laude from the Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología, with both bachelor and licentiate degrees in Public Accounting. She also attended the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho where she was studying to obtain her law degree. Ana Chaletzky currently works as Director, Accounting at the U.S. House of Representatives (House), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, which functions as a non-partisan, non-legislative office that provides support services and business solutions to a community of 10,000 House Members, Officers, and staff. She leads the preparation of annual interim and year-end House financial statements; and required reporting to the U.S. Treasury. Oversees the quarterly compilation of the Statement of Disbursements. Supervises the accountability of all receipts and non-payroll disbursements of the House. She has over 20 years of Accounting experience working in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining the House, she worked as a senior operating accountant at the Library of Congress. Before joining the federal government, Ana worked for Choice Hotels International as a Treasury Analyst and for Discovery Communications as a Financial Analyst. Her professional certifications include Certified Public Accountant, Certified Government Financial Manager, Project Management Professional, Government Information Leadership Chief Financial Officer, and Women in Leadership Certificate Program. Ana is an Advisor for the Executive Women of Influence Program at Florida International University. Ana Chaletzky is married and lives on Capitol Hill with her husband and daughter.
