Byron Leeth

Byron Leeth currently serves as the Chief Accountant in the Accounting and Technology Section within the Finance and Facilities Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, a position he has held since November 2017. In this role, Mr. Leeth leads a team of accountants, analysts, and business systems professionals with oversight over the FBI’s internal accounting operations and leading the coordination, development, and publication of the FBI’s Annual Financial Report, where the FBI just achieved a 25th-straight clean audit in FY 2022. He has previously led development and implementation of agency-wide Budget Management tools and served as a budget subject-matter expert during the FBI’s modernization from a 30-year-old legacy financial management system.
