Mrs. Malone has served as the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for audit for the Financial Management and Reporting (FMR) Directorate since April 2018, which includes assisting the Assistant Inspector General in supervising all financial statement audits performed or overseen by DoD OIG. She has over 20 years of auditing and accounting Ms. Malone leads the effort in writing the annual “Understanding the Results of the Financial Statement Audit” report and participates in press interviews to articulate the financial statement audit results and impact in terms that are easily understandable to the general public Mrs. Malone is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Ohio, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and a member of the AICPA, ACFE, AGA, and the Ohio Society of CPAs. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in accounting from The Ohio State University and Masters in Policy Management from Georgetown University.
