Carolyn Ramona Hantz, Assistant Inspector General for Audit, Department of Labor Office of Inspector General (OIG), since January 31, 2021. Ms. Hantz is responsible for conducting audits to review the effectiveness, efficiency, economy, and integrity of DOL programs and operations. Prior to her arrival at the Department of Labor, Ms. Hantz led a team of 72 evaluators and 39 expert auditors in the Department of Defense OIG. Ms. Hantz is a native of Washington, DC. Mrs. Hantz is a CPA with 39 years of auditing experience. She received her BBA from Howard University and MS from Central Michigan University. She has received various awards including the Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the Mentor of the Year Award, the Superior Civilian Service Award, the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency Award of Excellence, and the Meritorious Civilian Service Award.
