Chris Martin

Chris Martin is the Director of the Financial Management Systems Group (FMSG) within the Office of Financial Management (OFM). Mr. Martin provides leadership for the operations and management of CMS' financial system, the Healthcare Integrated General Ledger Accounting System (HIGLAS), which accounts for over $2.3 trillion annually. In addition, his group manages several other critical OFM business systems on behalf of OFM business owners. In 2015 Mr. Martin held, concurrently with his current position, the Acting Director for the Payment Policy and Financial Management Group in the Centers for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight for approximately a year. Prior to his arrival at CMS in January 2011, Mr. Martin worked for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office of the Chief Information Officer managing DHHS's enterprise systems, to include UFMS (Unified Financial Management System), CapHR, HCAS (HHS Consolidated Acquisition System), ITAS and PMIS (Property Management Information System).
