Cynthia Vitters

Cynthia Vitters is a Managing Director at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Prior to joining Deloitte, Cynthia was the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA) where she served as an Operating Committee member and worked with the FSA business unit heads regarding risk activities pertaining to the administration of the organization's $1.4 trillion dollar outstanding loan portfolio. She worked closely with the Department's Office of the CRO, and also served as a Senior Advisor Senior on risk to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) where her work contributed to the revised Circular A-123 issued in July 2016, which formally established OMB's requirements for Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in the federal government.
