David Dalenberg

Mr. David D. Dalenberg is a member of the Senior Executive Service, and the Comptroller for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He carries out the delegated authorities and responsibilities of the Department’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and leads the Office of Financial Management in supporting the Department’s operational financial management activities, systems, and services. As the ICE Comptroller he serves as the principal financial management advisor to the CFO and is the financial and accounting service provider to several other Component organizations across the Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Dalenberg has 34 years of experience in Federal Government financial management and accounting operations leadership with hands-on experience in the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. His experience includes field level, major command, Service headquarters’ staff, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) finance, accounting, and program management roles. Before becoming the Comptroller at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Mr. Dalenberg served in various other financial management areas in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management & Comptroller), Office of the Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), Department of the Army, Department of the Air Force, and the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS). Mr. Dalenberg holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Arizona.
