Doug Roosa

Division Director, State of Michigan

Doug Roosa has over 40 years of international financial executive experience. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Over the past four decades, he has served in various executive and officer roles with several large multinational publicly traded companies headquartered in Michigan. He has extensive leadership experience including financial planning, controlling, and accounting; risk and internal control management; risk assurance and advisory services such as internal and external auditing; fraud risk management including investigations; strategy and governance; policy and compliance management; information system data and technology management; human resource management; and mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. After more than 35 years in the corporate community, in late 2017, he joined the public sector to assist in leading the re-engineering of the State of Michigan’s enterprise risk and internal control management programs across the State’s 20 departments while also serving as a director with the Office of Internal Audit Services within the State’s budget office as chief internal auditor for the division of Public Safety and Quality of Life. He is also responsible for driving other major statewide initiatives which currently includes leading the project management office coordinating and overseeing more than $20 billion in federal stimulus funding across several hundred programs for the response and recovery to the COVID-19 pandemic.
