Doug is a Senior Grants Officer, leading the grant policy and knowledge management functions for the Corporation for National & Community Service, Washington, DC headquarters, Office of Grants Management. He is responsible for managing the agency’s electronic grant system configuration and system administration functions, along with agency financial reporting and performance data analytics. Prior to his time with CNCS, Doug devoted over 20 years to Federal grant making as a branch and division director at the US Department of Health & Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, and directing regional financial grant operations for the US Department of Interior, Office of Surface Mining and Reclamation.
Doug’s range of experience includes directing call center operations for 1-800-MEDICARE, workforce planning for IRS call centers, and numerous electronic government initiatives including deputy project manager for the Consolidated Health Informatics project that established government-wide health IT information exchange and communication standards, and the original business case for what today is Grants.gov. Doug currently serves on the Federal Financial Assistance Committee on eGov, and AGA’s Intergovernmental Partnership Steering Committee.
