Elizabeth Kowalewski

Elizabeth Kowalewski is a Performance Audit Director in the Federal Government Service Line at Sikich LLC. Elizabeth has more than 15 years of experience leading teams in carrying out federal performance audits of varying size, scope, and complexities. She specializes in performance audits that utilize complex qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including surveys, structured interviews, and unstructured text analytics. Elizabeth previously served as an Audit Director at the U.S. Postal Service’s Office of the Inspector General, where she led the agency’s oversight of the Postal Inspection Service. Until 2021, Elizabeth worked for the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), where she led performance audits involving fraud, law enforcement, and homeland security. Elizabeth is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She holds an MPA from Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and a BA in Environmental Studies and Politics from Ursinus College.
