Glenn Davidson serves as the Executive Director of Shared Services for the US Department of Commerce. As such, he is responsible for the planning, design, build, run and optimization of the first-ever, cabinet-level department’s multi-function shared services operations. He will soon deliver human resources, finance and accounting, information technology and acquisition services to the 47,000 employees that make up the Office of the Secretary and the department’s 12 bureaus. Glenn comes to the Department from Accenture Federal Services where, as a Managing Director, he led its operations line of business. Among his clients were the Internal Revenue Service, US Department of Education, US Department of Justice, and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Glenn and his team also supported UNICEF global, multi-function shared services initiative.

Prior to joining Accenture, Glenn served as a Managing Director with KPMG LLP. As such, he led the shared services and outsourcing advisory practice’s public sector business. Among his clients were the US Air Force, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Internal Revenue Service, Transportation Security Administration, Architect of the Capitol, environmental Protection Agency, US Agency for International Development, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State of Florida, State of Texas and the State of Michigan. He and his team helped these government organizations transform their mission-critical and mission-support operations through consolidation, shared services, technology deployments, and outsourcing.

Prior to his KPMG role, Glenn worked for Accenture LLP where he was a partner within its human performance line of business. Accenture HR Services, as the operations were known at the time, provided human resources services – from recruitment to retirement – to commercial and government organizations alike.
