Gregory L. Teets

Assistant Administrator for Financial Management, DHS/FEMA/OCFO

Mr. Gregory Teets joined the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in 1995 and currently serves as the Assistant Administrator for Financial Management within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). After 14 years of serving in positions of increasing responsibility in FEMA OCFO, Mr. Teets received an appointment in 2009 to the Senior Executive Service. In his role as the Assistant Administrator, Mr. Teets is responsible for the overall health of FEMA’s complex financial environment, which includes leadership and strategic advice regarding financial operations, financial policy, system modernization; and the preparation, review and consolidation of agency financial statements. Under his leadership, FEMA has successfully strengthened its internal controls over Financial Reporting and Operations, a major contributing factor for DHS to achieve a clean audit opinion for its 5 consecutive year. Prior to joining FEMA, Mr. Teets worked at the Naval Weapons Station and at a private CPA firm. He is a graduate of Radford University and resides in Stephens City, Virginia with his wife, Julie and three children.
