Hiep Vo

Hiep Vo, as a Security Division Manager at Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC), has transformed PBGC’s security incident response program into a mature, capable one. Since 2016, he led the efforts to implement several security tools, including security information and event management (SIEM) and data loss prevention (DLP), to protect the agency’s sensitive data. His contributions to PBGC’s cybersecurity program helped the agency achieve its first-ever “Effective” rating by the Office of Inspector General (OIG)’s FISMA audit in FY2021. Prior to joining PBGC, Hiep served in the United States Marine Corps from 2009 to 2018 as a reservist. He is a University of Virginia graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2005 and a Western Governors University graduate with a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance in 2022.
