Jaime Rullan CGFM

Associate CFO for Financial Operations, Department of the Interior

Jaime Rullan has over 20 years of Federal Financial Management experience. Jaime currently serves as the Associate CFO for Financial Operations at the Department of the Interior (DOI) where he oversees Financial Reporting, Financial Systems, and the Departmental Offices Financial Division. Prior to returning to DOI, he was the Deputy CFO for the Office of Capital Access (OCA) at the Department of the Treasury, where he was responsible for Financial Reporting, Internal Controls, Accounting Operations, Budget Formulation, and Budget Execution. OCA was established in 2021 to ensure a successful economic recovery after the COVID-19 Pandemic. In addition, Jaime served at First Net in the Department of Commerce where he was the Senior Manager for Accounting and Budget. In this role he worked to implement key improvements to the budget system (B-FACT) and develop efficiencies in compiling management reports. Prior to First Net, Jaime served in Indian Affairs at the Department of the Interior for 18 years. Here he held various roles throughout the years. In his most recent role as the Deputy CFO, he was responsible for the Bureau’s Financial Reporting, Accounting Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Controls, and Procurement. Jaime started his government career at Indian Affairs in 2003 as part of the Financial Management Intern Program and progressively accepted additional responsibilities. Jaime is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Government financial Manager (CGFM). He holds a Masters Degree in Accounting and a Bachelors in Business Administration. Jaime currently lives in Virginia with his wife and daughter, but grew up in Puerto Rico where he enjoyed going to the beach and chilling under palm trees as well as hiking the mountains on a regular basis.
