Mr. James Gfrerer

Jim is currently the Principal for Fidelis Technology LLC, providing advisory and consulting services to commercial technology partners doing business in the Federal and Public Sectors. In his previous role as the Assistant Secretary for the Office of Information and Technology and Chief Information Officer of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Jim led the largest single centralized IT portfolio in the Federal Government. Prior to the VA, Jim was an Executive Director at Ernst & Young in their commercial Cybersecurity Practice where he worked on Fortune100 clients’ cybersecurity strategy, product implementation, and managed service offerings. Jim also previously served at the Department of State in Cybersecurity roles and had a full career as a Marine Officer working in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and in multiple assignments.
