Ms. Janira Garcia

Janira Garcia leads the design, implementation, and facilitation of leadership development programs at the Partnership including Preparing to Lead, Emerging HR Leaders, and customized trainings on diversity, equity and inclusion within the federal workforce.

Janira serves as the Chair of the Partnership’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, interweaving a DEI perspective into the internal processes and external deliverables of the organization. During her time with the Partnership, Janira has supported our efforts in building and fortifying relationships among federal partners and leaders in tribal, urban and rural communities.

Before her time at the Partnership, Janira’s interests took her to Uganda, where she led field research studying female political engagement practices. She worked with members of the Ugandan parliament, administrators from Makerere University, and student government leaders to host a program promoting civic engagement opportunities among college students.
