Jason Venner is a Director in CliftonLarsonAllen’s (CLA) Federal Government Services group. He has more than 20 years' experience helping public sector organizations at all levels to improve performance, reduce costs, strengthen controls, master risks, and comply with federal regulations through performance audits and risk assessments. Jason is a specialist in helping organizations enhance their oversight capabilities to increase the impact of federal funds by applying his expert knowledge of public and private sector audit and risk management standards such as GAGAS, Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government, GAO’s Fraud Risk Framework, OMB A-123 and A-11, FAR, COSO Internal Control and ERM frameworks, RIMS ERM, NIST, and PMBOK. Prior to joining CLA, Jason served as a Deputy Assistant Inspector General-Audits at both the Amtrak Office of Inspector General and the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction after starting his federal career with the U.S. Government Accountability Office. Jason is a Certified Risk Management Professional for Federal Government (RIMS-CRMP-FED) and holds a Master of Arts in Public and International Affairs (MPIA) from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science from the University at Albany.
