Joel Anderson CPA

Joel Anderson is the Tax and Economic Policy Advisor for Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds. In his role, he is responsible for advising the Governor regarding decisions about taxation and revenue in the state of Iowa. Joel is also responsible for managing the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic to the state and works closely with the Iowa Department of Management on oversight of federal funds at the state level. He serves as liaison from the Governor’s office to the Department of Revenue, Iowa Economic Development Authority, and other state agencies. Joel is a Certified Public Accountant and prior to joining Governor Reynolds’ staff, worked at the public accounting firm RSM.
