Joel Robideaux

Mayor-President, Lafayette Consolidated Government

Joel Robideaux is Mayor-President of Lafayette Consolidated Government, the governing authority of Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. He also serves as Chairman of the Lafayette Public Innovation Alliance (LPIA), a public trust established to finance innovation initiatives that serve authorized public purposes. Prior to his election as Mayor-President, Robideaux served in the Louisiana House of Representatives for three terms. During that time, he served as Speaker Pro Tempore and as Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee. He also served on the Joint Legislative Committee on Capital Outlay, the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget and the Louisiana Bond Commission. Joel worked professionally as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for 26 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and a Master of Science Degree in Finance from Louisiana State University.
