Joe McIntyre is the Executive Director of Enterprise Development, Office of the CFO for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). This position includes serving as the Executive Director of the CFO University Program which is responsible for all internal training for financial professionals across the Agency. Joe is also responsible for leadership over external training for financial professionals as well as financial operations performance management. In 2022 he was recognized by the AGA with the Educator Award for his outstanding work leading NASA’s CFO University. Prior to that, Joe Served as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer over Agency Financial Operations (Finance) for 2 years. In this role, Joe was responsible for providing senior executive leadership and direction for all financial operations across the Agency. Prior to accepting this position, he served for five and a half years as NASA’s Associate Deputy CFO providing executive leadership and direction for all financial operations in support of the CFO, Deputy CFO for Finance, and Deputy CFO for Budget and Strategy. In addition, Joe spent almost 11 years at the Department of Justice, with almost 9 of those years at the Criminal Division where he served his last 3 ½ years as the Principal Deputy Executive Officer and CFO, responsible for all administrative functions; Finance, Budget, Procurement, Information Technology, Human Resources, Facilities, and Security. While at the Criminal Division, Mr. McIntyre was awarded the Assistant Attorney General’s award for Excellence in Management, primarily for his innovative accomplishments in motivating the workforce, re-engineering financial operations, and implementing state-of-the-art financial reporting systems. Mr. McIntyre holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Economics from San Jose State University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the California State University East Bay.
