Josh Pasch started as the City Auditor in Baltimore, Maryland in 2019. The City Auditor oversees the Financial and Performance audits, as well as, the City Auditor’s Fraud Hotline. Since joining the City of Baltimore, Josh has had the opportunity to evaluate many areas of City operations including finance, housing, economic development, transportation, planning, rec and parks, among others. Josh has also worked to improve the quality of the Department of Audits internal procedures and audit quality. These initiatives include updating internal policies for compliance with current GAGAS standards and updating work paper templates. Josh has also worked to change the reputation of the Department of Audits with city agencies from the role of policeman to providing an independent assessment that agencies can use to improve their operations. Josh’s professional experience includes five years of public accounting; and fourteen years of internal audit experience with a hospital system and the Maryland Department of Transportation. Josh has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Accounting from Stetson University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland and Florida.
