Karen Brown CGFM, CPA, CGMA

Ms. Karen P. Brown, CGFM, CPA, CGMA, is a Project Manager (FAC-P/PM Senior Level III) in the Project Management Office within the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer. Her professional foundation is rooted in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, and she brings extensive cross-functional experience across the federal government. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to supporting mission-critical initiatives, delivering results that inform leadership decision-making, and pursuing continuous learning opportunities. Ms. Brown is an active member of AGA and the AGA DC Chapter, where she volunteers annually as a CEAR reviewer. She also serves on the 2026 AGA PDT Technical Committee, participates on the DC Chapter Annual Gala Committee, and is a member of the 2026 cohort for the AGA NextWave NFLLP program. In addition, she is a member of the AICPA, MACPA, and PMI. Outside of work, Ms. Brown enjoys spending time with family and friends and appreciates life’s simple pleasures. A fun fact about her is that she is a two-time zip-lining survivor.
