Katherine Hogan CGFM, CPA, CIA, CFE

Katherine Hogan is an associate accountant for the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System where she focuses on internal control considerations for the Finance department. In her seven years with NYSTRS, Katherine has earned several certifications in addition to the recently-earned CGFM: certified internal auditor and certified fraud examiner, as well as certifications in control self-assessment and risk management assurance. Prior to starting at NYSTRS, Katherine worked in public accounting where she became a licensed CPA. She hasn’t decided which certification to pursue next but as a strong proponent of lifetime learning it’s safe to say she will find one soon. Katherine has an MBA from the University at Albany and a BS in Accounting from The Sage Colleges of Albany. She is starting her second year on the CEC and is the president-elect for the Albany chapter of the AGA.
