Kathryn Craig

Kathryn (Kate) Craig is Acting Director of the Division of Payment Integrity Improvement within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Financial Resources (ASFR). Kate coordinates HHS’ implementation of the Payment Integrity Information Act, including improper payment risk assessments and the annual OIG compliance review; fraud risk management; and other efforts to prevent, reduce, and recapture improper payments. Prior to joining HHS, Kate worked at GAO as a healthcare analyst on DOD and VA healthcare issues. She earned a B.S. in Psychology from Tulane University and an MPH from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health. In Kate’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching DC United soccer.
