Mr. Kevin Young

Mr. Young is the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Information Technology, Audits and Computer Crime Investigations (ITACCI), Department of Education (ED). He has over 27 years of experience in federal auditing, data analysis and investigative support. Today, he leads a team of Investigative Analysts, Auditors, Computer Crime Investigators , and Information Technology Specialists in support of the ED-OIG oversight mission. Prior to joining ED-OIG, Mr. Young worked for the Department of State-OIG, Office of Investigations developing their forensic accounting capabilities and establishing a data analytics program. Mr Young began is Federal career with the U.S. Army Audit Agency. He held various roles for over 19 years. Mr. Young has a MS in International Management and a MS in Public Administration from Troy State University. Mr. Young is a Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Certified Internal Auditor.
